  • Overview

    The Marketing Manager handles general marketing for an assigned region as well as the corporate company and national initiatives, works with the social media team in photo and graphic initiatives, special projects and other brand responsibilities as assigned. 




    • Represent one or two regions as the regional expert in marketing and main contact point
    • Work with the CMs/RMs/VPs to ensure traffic opportunities to the communities are being maximized, marketing standards are being followed and renovations and lease-ups are on budget as far as traffic/leases
    • Help drive and implement new marketing initiatives
    • Function as the liaison for all things marketing in the region
    • Be responsible for the brand management for our social media presence
    • Identify graphic and design opportunities that will promote growth and engagement on social media sites and contribute to and regularly update external social sites: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and other community sites
    • Use creative means to drive strong engagement and organic growth of all social media communities to convey a sense of community and build our following based on valuable content and mutual sharing
    • Work with the Web Manager to ensure we’re fully leveraging the website for maximum impact/results both brand-wise and graphically
    • Work with the National Marketing Director and VP Marketing to support all lease-up efforts from a design and brand perspective
    • Work with the RMs to ensure all creative marketing for lease-ups is coherent and consistent with the brand
    • Create designs unique to the Gables brand and meeting all brand standards
    • Oversee Paws to Care, Gables OneStop and other programs as assigned




    • Design and provide standard template for the community newsletters
    • Design and create copy for corporate and community ads for publications
    • Seek out advertising opportunities on a regional basis to promote Gables
    • Assist with RFP presentations as needed
    • Assist with Power Point presentations
    • Work on maintaining logo and ad libraries on GablesNET and the K Drive
    • K Drive clean-up and updates
    • Assist with lease up efforts (fence wrap designs, signage, brochures, e-blast designs as needed)
    • Design the Corporate Citizenship annual report
    • Design the internal Gables Spotlight Awards theme, Save the Dates, Invitations, Power Points and Awards Certificates
    • Design all internal support collaterals for industry events
    • Photoshop photography as needed and assist with art direction/staging for community photo shoots
    • Provide vector file artwork for retail and community signage
    • Maintain and update the Gables Brand Standards Guidelines
    • Design programs, class announcements and graphics as needed for Training & Development Department and HR

    An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Art, or a related field is required, with an emphasis on graphic design is preferred. The position requires the ability to read and write English

    fluently, and the ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.


    Professional Experience

    3 to 5 years of experience using Facebook, Twitter, blogs or YouTube.  3 to 5 years experience in utilizing the full Adobe Suite for graphics design and marketing purposes. Previous experience in the apartment management industry preferred.



    The position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year. It is extremely critical that individuals be able to work their scheduled hours on a consistent basis and, if necessary, overtime hours when requested. Position requires the ability to travel as necessary.



    A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is required.  Position requires individuals to furnish their own vehicle to fulfill all of the job’s functions.
