The Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for developing and driving strategies for effective data analysis and reporting by ultimately configuring and implementing analytics solutions to provide the best data possible to drive traffic/tours/marketing spend decisions.  The role will implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable business insights.  This includes performing research and providing insights regarding the market, trends, potential and existing customers, and current marketing campaigns, ultimately having our business use data help drive high performance and quality. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
  • Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources by selecting, configuring and implementing analytics solutions
  • Oversee all analytics operations
  • Extract reports from multiple sources (e.g. Operations, IT, Surveys, Programs, etc)
  • Select tools to transform raw data into actionable business insights while producing strategy models and performance reports
  • Apply knowledge to interpret data and improve performance, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Keep abreast of industry news and trends
  • Manage ILSs and related relationships, listing opportunities and enhancements and enhanced positioning
  • Work with marketing team on lease-up plans, takeovers and 3rd party presentations
  • Examine a campaign's return on investment
  • Oversee several marketing programs and improve upon reporting capabilities
  • Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships
  • Identify positive financial outcomes to increase profitability
  • Performs analysis and updates of marketing databases to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of various marketing programs
  • Develops strategy for targeted marketing campaigns and is responsible for data extraction and list or lead generation
  • Runs various reports to track retention, identify new customers, and pinpoint opportunities to increase sales to current customers
  • Other related responsibilities as defined by the VP, Marketing & PR

Qualifications

Skills

  • Proven experience as an Analytics Manager or Data Scientist
  • Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; real estate/hospitality industry a plus
  • Background in market research and project management
  • SQL knowledge helpful
  • Excel expert; knowledge of business intelligence tools to include pivot tables & charts, creating and working with macros, extensive formula experience with the ability to nest formulas, working with a Data Warehouse or Database
  • Superb communication and multi-tasking skills with attention to details
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude and teamwork attitude
  • Innovative and creative
  • Ability to communicate and present across company departments and management levels
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about Strategic Analysis
  • Provide actionable research results to inform key business decisions
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work across all company disciplines including Revenue Management, Asset Management and IT
  • Represent Gables on industry panels, task forces, etc

 

Education
A bachelor's degree in one of the following: marketing, market research, statistics, computer science, math, social sciences or business administration, or communications.

While an MBA or other advanced education is not required, it is preferred.

Position requires the ability to read and write English fluently.

Professional Experience
Four to seven years’ experience in a data reporting, management analyst, marketing analytics or similar role is required. 

Travel Requirements
Minimal travel is required.

Licenses/Equipment

A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is required.  Position requires individuals to furnish their own vehicle to fulfill all of the job’s functions.  Position requires the ability to use general office equipment including computer, printers, copy machines, fax machines, postage machine, binding machine, etc.
